Skills

Over the course of my academic and professional journey, I have developed the skills that shape my design practice. Below is an overview of these strengths, supported by selected examples from my work.

Conceptual Design

I turn research insights, complex requirements, and human needs into clear design concepts. My approach combines ethical thinking, structured analysis, and human-centered methods to create strong foundations for meaningful experiences.

Methods

Customer Journeys, Personas, Empathy Maps, Stakeholder Maps, Value Proposition Canvas, Business Model Canvas, User Stories, etc.

UI Design

I design user interfaces for digital products across web, mobile, and multimedia systems. My work is defined by visual precision, careful attention to detail, and experience both applying existing brand guidelines and creating new visual directions.

Software

Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Sketch, Affinity, Canva, Corel Suite

User Research

User research is the foundation of the human-centered design process. I enjoy defining research questions, selecting suitable methods, conducting interviews or surveys, and synthesising findings into insights that guide design decisions.

Methods

Observation, qualitative interviews, quantitative surveys, synthesis and Affinity Diagramming

Prototyping

Prototyping helps me turn ideas into something people can experience, discuss, and evaluate. From low- to high-fidelity depending on the stage of development, I use prototypes to communicate concepts clearly, support testing, and build excitement around a product vision.

Tools

Figma, Adobe XD, basic coding

Wireframing

I use wireframing to iterate concepts quickly and early, before design decisions become costly to change. On paper or digitally, wireframes help me test structure, gather feedback, and refine ideas together with users, stakeholders, and experts.

Tools

Figma, Miro, Sketching

Speculative Design

I use speculative design and foresight methods to explore possible futures, anticipate developments, and generate creative responses to emerging challenges. Often applied in collaborative workshops, these methods help teams not only imagine new products and services, but also build shared awareness of change across organisations.

Tools

Scenario Building, Backcasting and Futurecasting, Artefacts from the Future, Fictional Narratives, Future Cone, Trend Analysis

Editorial and Print Design

I developed my understanding of layout through early work in a school magazine club and have continued applying it in print projects ranging from posters and flyers to books, covers, and business cards. This ongoing experience with print has shaped my eye for hierarchy, composition, and communication across media.

Selected Formats

School magazine layout, posters and flyers for the Deutsch-Polnischer Kulturverein, book and cover layouts, business cards

Physical Interaction Design

My design practice goes beyond screen-based interfaces alone. Alongside strong expertise in UI design, I also explore physical interaction, haptics, and ergonomics to create experiences that consider how products feel and function in real use.

Tools

Sketching, Blender

Leadership

I see design leadership as the ability to guide interdisciplinary teams with both clarity and vision. By structuring complex work, supporting communication, and keeping the focus on the underlying problem, I help projects move forward in a meaningful direction.

Tools

Jira, SCRUM, etc.

Technical Understanding

My technical understanding helps me bridge the gap between design and development. With foundations in coding, web technologies, and 3D environments, I can communicate effectively with developers and shape concepts that are both meaningful and realistic to implement.

Skills

Basics in coding (Java, C#), web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript and php) and 3D technologies (Blender, Unity)

Visual Storytelling

Visual storytelling is one of my preferred ways to communicate ideas. Through storyboards, presentations, and other visual formats, I turn concepts into narratives that are easier to understand, share, and remember.

Methods

Storyboarding, presentations, filming, video editing

Workshop Design and Facilitation

Workshops are one of my preferred ways to bring people into the design process. I create and facilitate formats that support collaboration, generate insights, and help teams work through complexity together, whether remotely or in person.

Methods

Selection and creation of formats and templates
